This bracelet design is adapted from a needlepoint pattern called bargelli, or flame stitch. I was so pleased with the first bracelet, I made a series of them using various colors to represent gemstones. To enhance the flame effect of the design, I combine beads with different finishes and use silver-lined crustal or silver-lined gold beads for the main color of the pattern.
