Graceful companionsCombine herringbone stitch and right-angle weave to showcase gemstone rondelles.
Published:
January 12, 2012 A latticework of beads and gemstones plays the central role in this elegant bracelet. Created with right-angle weave, it dovetails nicely at each end with a panel of Ndebele herringbone. Blending these two stitches, while unusual, produces a openwork grid that showcases a collection of attractive gemstones. You can readily substitute small peals or crystals for the gemstones in your version of this design.
