Mermaid mesh chain maille bracelet

This mesh is a pattern I discovered a few years ago while browsing through several art istory and armor books. In my research I found that it’s called Dragon’s Weave mesh, but this seems like a decidedly unromantic description of an intricate pattern. As I worked on the piece, I was awestruck by its slinky movement. A friend looked at the chain sample and immediately dubbed it “mermaid mesh.” The title is a perfect description of the way the piece moves – just like a mermaid’s tail. In addition, the mesh is dense and heavy, and it feels great to wear.
